Fabulous location and a view from our street-facing window which meant you didn't have to leave the hotel to sightsee! It really is that close to some of the major sights. Quiet, clean and well-appointed hotel with helpful staff. A lovely, fairly shady courtyard where you could sit and have a drink or a meal. A good variety at breakfast and our transfers booked via the hotel worked well. Would happily go back there.

This is a good hotel ideally located for exploring the old town. The service is very good. The only drawback is that the room is a bit too small.

It is a nice Hotel, with a warm wellcome, very convenient sightseeing information from hotel personnel, clean rooms and delicious breakfast. Located near AgiaSofia, it is a place that satisfies especially the people who do not plan a long staying in Instabul

There is not enough room here in this review to properly explain how well i was treated at the Ottoman Hotel Imperial. I am a single man and was traveling alone on a combination business and vacation trip. Virtually every exchange I had with any member of the staff during my entire visit, included a warm and genuine smile. I really was in Istanbul for a couple more days than i needed, so I reached a point where I simply didnt want to see anymore of the city, even though there are so many great things there to see. I just wanted to relax. The Ottoman Hotel Imperial became my home away from home, and my sanctuary. In the last few days of my visit, I was sitting in the hotel bar and the manager sat down with me, offered me some coffee and we just talked for almost an hour. He brought the meaning of the word hospitality up to a new level for me. He was a true gentleman. From this point forward, the way he and his staff handled everything during my visit there, has become the new benchmark that other hotels will have to try to live up to.
They were at all times courteous, prompt and professional. And while I appreciated all of that, as you can tell from my comments above, that is not the most impressive part.
As sometimes happens while traveling, I unfortunately had one bad experience while in Istanbul. Everyone at the Hotel did so many little things to try to lift my mood when they heard about what happened. As a result of their concern I was left with the feeling that the Turkish people must be some of the friendliest in the world.
I cannot imagine anyone not enjoying their stay there. When you get there tell Yasar (the manager) that David said -- Thank you... again.
And dont forget to ask them about the little Seafood Restaurant right down the street. I think it was called the Sultanahmet Fish Market. They sent me there one night for dinner and it was fantastic. Simple and elegant with a great cozy atmosphere.

I stay in a lot of hotels on business - this one was really nice. Centrally located in a really easy to get to area with nice rooms, big bathroom and very friendly and helpful staff.
At such a reasonable price I would really recommend people stay here - certainly I will be next time in Istanbul.

Very beatiful hotel, near from the main sites to visit in istanbul. The breakfast was refreshing and delightful. The staff very nice. A small problem was the size of the double room. But in global the hotel was perfect. We'll come back without hesitation.

we only stayed 1 night at the hotel due to our flight leaving the next day. The service was excellent, we had a plane to catch early in the morning before their official breakfast started. They were willing to feed my family breakfast at 500 am which I thought was very generous. I liked everything about the hotel except the small 19 or 20 inch old style Tv also the bathroom was extremely small, one person could barely fit. we had a triple room, maybe if we had a double or single room the bathroom would have been a little bit bigger. The location was fabulous right next door to Aya Sofia Mosque. I enjoyed the old 1500 century cobblestone streets.

Staying here on the end part of a two week trek across Europe made me regret having to return to the real world. Everything from the genuinely nice and interesting staff, to the delicious Turkish Delights , I never once felt that I deserved anything better. Although my experiences can regrettably never be repeated, I will always strive to go back to Istanbul, and when I do, I will stay at this hotel.

Enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Excellent location 2 minutes from Aga Sofia on foot and area very safe. Close to all the main sights and near to the excellent tram service. Good value and hospitable. Everywhere very clean and well maintained. Rooms air conditioned.
Some hotel rooms however are extremely small and unsuitable for a couple. The bath was very high. Rooms at the back can be noisy because of a restaurant opposite but nevertheless we would stay there again.

Our stay at the Ottoman Hotel Imperial was fantastic. Really. They gave us a lovely room over looking the back terrace. It was my seven year old son's first visit to Istanbul. They knew this and gave him his own small room attached to ours. He felt so special. The staff was wonderful to us. We had traveled all over Turkey for three weeks and ended here. Everything was perfect. Our room was very spacious and beautifully designed.
The only thing I would work on was the breakfast. The bread was pretty bad and the juice was not fresh. Maybe you could offer fresh juice for an additional cost. Also we stayed in one place that offered fresh juice and eggs for extra. Just a thought. Thank you.

I have stayed in the Ottoman Hotel Imperial for a week from the 23rd of May till the 30th of May. It was my best stay ever. From the moment I contacted the Hotel, their Front Office/Manager were so extremly attentive, helpful and very prompt. They made me look forward even more to visiting Istanbul and staying with them. They never hesitated to provide me with any information I required, and were ready to service me even before my arrival. Once I was there, the pick up went very well and their reception was so warm, courteous and informative. Starting then, I received the best service by all means. The area, Sultanahmet, is a prime location :In the heart of the City, In the heart of History. The room was clean, comfortable, lush and had a lovely view. The breakfast/food was very good and they even serve some Ottoman dishes, which I found very delicious. The service is very courteous, impeccable and the staff are very friendly. They have a lovely garden, were you can relax and enjoy your food and drinks around the clock. Their Guest Relation Team is the best I ever came across. These ladies make your stay, a time to remember. In one sentence, I would like to sum it up : The Ottoman Imperial Hotel, Staff and Management, make your stay a home away from home with a magical touch. Staying in the Ottoman Hotel Imperial is a must, if you happen to visit Istanbul for business or pleasure.

The Ottoman Imperial is a wonderful hotel. It is centrally located next to the Hagia Sophia and close to the Blue Mosque. The rooms were spacious, ammenities were upscale, the service was excellent and breakfast was outstanding with fresh fruits, breads, hot and cold choices. The restaurant in the hotel also was recommended to us and was an excellent choice. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Istanbul.

I loved this hotel and specially because of mixed traditional-modern style. The Hotel is at a great location near to most traditional places in Istanbul. But the nearby Restaurants close at 11pm! Have fun.
